The residence and properties of the Catholicosate of Sis belong to the Armenian people and must be returned. This is what Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia said during a November 10 press conference, reports NEWS.am.

“We have been working consistently in this direction for the past couple of years. We must remind that the entering the legal field is not that easy and not too favorable for our people, but we have to make collective efforts in this direction. We have to specify all the processes so that we can have the properties belonging to the nation and the church returned to our people and our church. Last year, the two Supreme Patriarchs made a joint statement. We demand the return of thousands of Armenian churches, convents and monasteries,” the Catholicos said.
