Film Shadows in Heaven is about a family of Armenian emigrants

Filmmaker, producer Gor Vardanyan wants to enter the international arena with his film Shadows in Heaven.

“The film is about things that can happen to people. It’s not like my previous films. There is more drama. This was new for me as an actor and as a director. I think the film will change people’s views on Armenian families. With this film, I want to tell people to love heroes, but not be like them,” Gor Vardanyan said during a press conference, reports ArmenPress.

According to the film’s creator, the hero in this film is unlike the heroes in his previous films. “The hero in this film is more loving and tender,” the film’s screenwriter Sona Hakobyan said.

The creators didn’t provide any information about the total budget for the film. “You’ll all know how much the film cost when you watch it,” one of the creators of the film, Vrej Saribekyan said.

“Our goal is to enter the international market where Hollywood films come first. Everyone wants to make a film in America. Our goal is to enter the international market. We have submitted applications to participate in several film festivals. We’ll also present the film in Stepanakert,” Vardanyan said in closing.

The film, which is 2 hours and 5 minutes long and was made in a month, will be premiered at Moscow Cinema in Yerevan on November 14.
