The music video for Armenia’s song to be performed at the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest is already on air. Armenia’s representative Betty made the video “selfie video” by herself. This is the first time that Armenia’s representative is making a music video for the song to be performed at the contest.

This year, 11-year old Betty will represent Armenia at the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with her song “People of the Sun”. The song was written with help from composer Mane Hakobyan. The lyrics are by Avet Barseghyan, and the musical arrangement is by Martin Mirzoyan. The music video for this year’s song also features participants from the previous song contests.

“The song is called “People of the Sun” because that’s how I refer to my friends, all the children of Armenia. They are happy people and bright as the sun. I think that’s how we all should be,” the little singer said.

The 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Malta on November 15 with the participation of singers from 16 countries, including Armenia, Georgia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia, Sweden, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Croatia, San Marino and Ukraine.
