Robert Guediguian joins the #2015RTAG. Recognize the Armenian Genocide online campaign

French-Armenian filmmaker Robert Guediguian has also joined the #2015RTAG. Recognize the Armenian Genocide online campaign, which is targeted at international recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

Robert Guediguian will also reflect on the tragic events of 1915 and the consequences of the Armenian Genocide in his new film that is initially entitled “A Crazy Story”. The film stars French-Armenian actors Serj Avedikian, Simon Abgarian and others and will also touch upon the Armenian Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia (ASALA) and how the new generation is following up on Turkey’s recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

Guediguian’s new film represents a travel through space and time. It starts in Berlin with the scene of the famous shooting by Soghomon Tehleryan, which becomes fatal for one of the organizers of the Armenian Genocide, Taleat Pasha. The film continues with developments in the past and present, the early 20th century and the 1980s in Europe, Armenia and the Near East.

The film will be ready ahead of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide in 2015.

Let us remind that the #2015RTAG. Recognize the Armenian Genocide online campaign has brought together people from different countries and of different nationalities. They take photos with signs reading #2015RTAG. Recognize the Armenian Genocide and post them in the special groups created on Twitter and Facebook.

With this, the participants of the campaign urge Turkey and other countries not having recognized the Armenian Genocide to recognize the greatest crime committed against humanity in 1915.
