Conference to be held in Armenian in Turkey

Deputy of the RA National Assembly Aragats Akhoyan recently visited Van, Kars and Mush and had meetings with representatives of the establishing Armenian communities.

As aadmag.am already reported, the Armenians of Mush are establishing a community, and the city has a cultural center that was a long-anticipated process. During a meeting with the representatives, Akhoyan talked about the issues concerning the community. The members said they were concerned about their lack of knowledge of the Armenian language.

It turned out that in spite of the frequent interrogations led by Turk police chiefs, the Armenian community of Mush is on the road to becoming unified with several dozens of families. At the yard of the St. Kirakos Church of Diyarbekir, the deputy had a meeting with incognito Armenians, who informed him that Western Armenians will be undertaking several initiatives ahead of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide and will be providing information about those initiatives soon. In May 2015, a conference will be held in Turkey in Armenian.
