Another newly built school in Artsakh

The newly built building of Primary School N 6 of Stepanakert was opened during a solemn ceremony held yesterday.

According to “ArtsakhPress”, among those attending the ceremony were NKR President Bako Sahakyan, Prelate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, the sponsor for the construction, President of the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamyan, other state officials, as well as the school’s teachers and students.

The school’s principal Vilen Ghahramanyan and students greeted the high-ranking guests with salt and bread at the entrance to the school.

Expressing gratitude to the NKR authorities, the sponsor and builders, the school’s principal mentioned that working and learning at this newly built school will be more binding for the teachers and students. In his speech, the school principal briefly talked about the school’s successes and achievements and assured that from now on, the school will do everything possible to be the leader in providing the young generation with an Armenian education and upbringing.

In his turn, NKR Minister of Education and Science Slava Asryan congratulated everyone and mentioned that the NKR authorities and benefactors like Ara Abrahamyan do everything possible to create favorable conditions for the activities and education of teachers and students of public schools. The minister urged the students to study hard and become the pillar of Artsakh with a vast amount of knowledge.

“This school was built cordially and with dedication,” Ara Abrahamyan told the gathered and voiced hope that this school would serve as a basis for the students to study hard and gain knowledge. Abrahamyan expressed gratitude to President Bako Sahakyan for his care and attention to issues related to education and granted the school 20 computers of the new generation.

Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan gave his blessing and consecrated the school building, and Vilen Ghahramanyan and benefactor Ara Abrahamyan had the honor of cutting the red ribbon at the entrance.

Let us also mention that the school has 25 classrooms, a laboratory and computer rooms, a gym, a separate heating system with a boiler and is designed to accommodate 650 students.
