Robert Gedigian to present new film dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide

Famous French director Robert Gedigian, who is of Armenian descent, has a new film dedicated to the Armenian Genocide.
According to VegaMediaPress, the film Histoire de fou is being shot ahead of the 100th anniversary of the tragic events. In the film, the director touches upon the actions taken by the Armenian Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia (ASALA). According to Gedigian, he was inspired by the life and career of famous Hispanic writer, journalist José Antonio Gurriarán.
In 1980 Guriaran was injured after the explosion of the bomb placed in Madrid by the fighters of ASALA. However, instead of condemning them, Guriaran had tried to understand what the motive was.
While at the hospital, Guriaran started reading articles about the explosions and books devoted to Armenian history. In 1982, he sought leaders of ASALA Monte Melkonian and Alek Yenigomshian and met them in Lebanon.
After a short while, the journalist released his book La Bomba in which he presented his life story and the tragic history of the Armenian people.
