The Armenian Church located in the Al Rashtie district of the Syrian city of Der Zor is in the target of TAHESH, reports the Arabic almayadeen website.

 Terrorists have exploded the historic Armenian church located within the Holy Martyrs memorial complex.

 On this occasion, the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued the following statement:

 “We strictly condemn the terrorists’ explosion of the Holy Martyrs Armenian Church of Der Ez Zor, which is dedicated  to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide and which was the church where there were relics of several martyrs of the Armenian Genocide.

This horrible, barbarous act against the church goes to show once again the brutality of the so-called “Islamic State” terrorist group.

The international community must take immediate measures, extirpate that plague that causes a threat to civilized mankind and cut the channels that nourish, finance, support and sponsor it.”
