On September 17, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received the delegation led by Baroness Caroline Cox and accompanied by writer, publicist Zori Balayan at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Father, Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan was also attending the meeting.

His Holiness was pleased to see Baroness Cox in Armenia again and noted that Cox has become a very close and familiar person for the Armenian people. The Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his high appreciation of the Baroness’ pro-Armenian activities that highly contribute to the protection of the rights of Armenians in Artsakh and the just settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Baroness Cox expressed her gratitude to His Holiness for the warm reception and shared her impressions of her 82^nd visit to Armenia.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the mission of the Armenian Church, as well as issues related to the social and educational programs that are under implementation and inter-ecclesiastical relations. The sides also reflected on the preparations for the events to be held on the occasion of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide.
