Alek Baghdasarian: “the next Poetry Pan-Armenian Festival will be dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide…”

On August 4-8, within the frameworks of “My Armenian” Pan-Armenian Festival, the second Pan-Armenian Poetry Festival was held in Shushi, Artsakh. The purpose of the Festival was to familiarize our compatriots living on a foreign land with the Armenian culture and art, as well as to promote the reinforcement of Armenia-Diaspora links.
One of the organizers of the Poetry Pan-Armenian Festival Alek Baghdasarian communicated that this year about 90 young boys and girls have arrived from Lebanon, Iran, the USA, Georgia, Syria, Artsakh and Armenia to participate in the Festival.
The days of the Festival were successful; the participants were well prepared children and performed very well. They had an opportunity to get in touch with the children from other countries, exchange their ideas, which is a positive fact.
On August 5-6, all age groups participated in the competition stage of the Festival, performing the works of the Armenian writers. After the end of the Festival, the participants had a tour throughout Artsakh, visited all the attraction sites of the country, and at the end participated in a farewell party organized around the bonfire. All the participants of the Festival had a fun till late evening; they song, danced and said each other good bye hoping that they would meet again.
When talking about the upcoming programs, Alek Baghdasarian stated that the next Poetry Pan-Armenian Festival would be dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the preparatory work of which would be starting soon.
At the end, Alek Baghdasarian extended his gratitude to “Karabagh Telekom” CJSC on behalf of its Director Ralph Yirikian for providing sponsorship to the Poetry Pan-Armenian Festival. Mr. Baghdasarian stressed that doing so “Karabagh Telekom” played a great role in the patriotic activity of preservation of the Armenian identity.
In conclusion, it should be added that Alek Baghdasaryan is also a board member of the Armenian American Chamber of Commerce, as well as the President of the Board of Shareholders of “Avan Shushi Plaza” Hotel.
