The authors of “The dawn at Van Lake” visited the RA Ministry of Diaspora
On July 25, the RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received the producer Vahan Stepanyan and the script writer Armen Vatyan of “The Dawn at Van Lake” movie.
Minister Hranush Hakobyan thanked for providing an opportunity to show the movie to the participants of the “Diaspora” summer school and attached importance to showing the movie in various Diaspora communities, thus, generating a sound incentive for the preservation of the Armenian identity and the devotion to the national values.
“The dawn at Van Lake” movie is about the relationships between three generations of a family migrated to America after the Genocide and the contradictions therein. The main character of the movie – 80 years old Karapet, whose mother had a narrow escape from the massacres in 1915, tries to preserve the memories of the lost Homeland in the generations.
