At 16:00, July 25, an event dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the foundation of the Severs Samuel Mouradian College and the Cultural Center of the Mechitarist Congregation will be held in the RA Ministry of Diaspora (Address: «Argishti» Hall, 9th floor, «Erebuni Plaza» Business Center, 26/1 V. Sargsyan Str.).

Welcome speech will be delivered by the Minister Hranush Hakobyan.

The overview of the 180-year activity of the Sevres Center will be presented by the Director of the Sevres Center, the Member of Mechitarist Congregation Rev. Fr. Harutyun Pztikian.

Armen Ter-Stepanian from Matenadaran after M. Mashtots will speak about the role of the Mechitarist School in the preservation of the Armenian culture.

Speeches will be made by the Director of the Institute of Literature of the  RA National Academy of Sciences Avik Isahakyan and the Deputy Director Vardan Devrikyan.

A video film about the 180-year history of Sevres Center shot upon the request of the RA Ministry of Diaspora will be shown during the event; photos, books and other archive materials related to the well-known alumni of Mechitarist colleges, with the view of illumination of the history of the center,  will be exhibited.

Psalms by Mechitar Abbot will play.
