Shosh village will have a community center by the end of the year

The Shosh village (Askeran region, NKR) of around 610 will have a two-storied community center which will house the mayor’s office, a health clinc, a library and a computer lab. The extension built to the main building will serve to the villagers as an events hall. The project is sponsored by the Fund’s French affiliate with co-financing of the Nagorno-Karabakh government.

The village school was built in 2004 through sponsorship of the Fund’s Toronto affiliate which continues to meet urgent needs of the school and the students. It didn’t take long before the school had a minibus and access to the internet. In addition, thanks to the donation of an Armenian family living abroad the students go school in nice uniforms.
