The residents of Kessab have started receiving the benefits provided to Kessab. This is what Kessab-Armenian Garo Manjigian mentioned in an interview with “ArmenPress”, adding that the first benefits will be provided for the renovation of homes, after which the benefits will be provided for the restoration of agriculture and studios, as well as for purchases of necessary equipment.

According to Garo Manjigian, the first benefits have been provided by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun.

“All the benefits will be provided to the residents of Kessab one-by-one, and people will get their lives back on track,” Manjigian said. He also informed that the Red Crescent of Syria has provided domestic appliances to the residents and the Greek Orthodox Church has provided small packages with necessary accessories.

Women continue to clean their homes. As for crops, Manjigian mentioned that there are crops this year and that this will console the residents.

The Syrian army liberated Kessab on 15 June, and most of the residents have already returned to Kessab. All homes and institutions have suffered damages. Some of them are inhabited, others are burnt and robbed, and others have suffered little damage.

Kessab was attacked by the Jabha an Nusra and Jeish al Islam terrorist groups from Turkey on 21 March with direct support from the Turkish government.
