On June 23, representatives of the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church, UNICEF and MGA Water signed a Memorandum of Partnership during a ceremony held at the Alex and Marie Manoogian Treasury of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin under the direction of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

The goal of the Memorandum of Partnership is to contribute to the protection of children’s rights, the development and implementation of programs aimed at improving children’s social conditions, the implementation of cultural, moral-psychological, disciplinary, scientific events and the publication of books for children, helping youth with professional orientation and raising the level of professional education.

The ceremony began with a prayer, which was followed by a speech by Head of the Office of the Mother See for Intra-Church Relations, Father, Priest Paruyr Avetisyan.

Afterwards, Director of Christian Education at the Mother See, Father, Archimandrite Vardan Navasardyan, representative of UNICEF Armenia Henriete Ahrens and President of the board of MGA Water, National Ambassador of UNICEF Gagik Martirosyan signed the Memorandum of Partnership and congratulated the gathered on the cooperation established with the blessing of the Supreme Patriarch, expressing confidence that the cooperation would serve as more impetus for the development and implementation of different kinds of programs for the welfare of children in Armenia.
