Secretary Del Rosario congratulated Ambassador Vardanyan on her appointment and voiced hope that the appointment would bring a new sweep to the broadening of the multilateral friendly relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the sides reached an agreement on taking steps for political dialogue, trade and economic relations and the formation of a juridical-contractual field.

The sides also discussed the opportunities for promoting investments, establishing cooperation in science, education, infrastructures, agriculture, healthcare, construction and tourism and emphasized the signing of memoranda of partnership that are very important for the broadening of relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Vardanyan presented in detail the process of negotiations over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and mentioned that Azerbaijan often distorts the historical facts, the content and essence of the negotiations, which impedes the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict that has been adopted by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

In the end, the sides exchanged views on the role of the AMEAN international organization in ensuring security and stability in the region, reports the RA MFA press service to “Hayern Aysor”.
