RA Permanent Representative to the UN Zohrab Mnatsakanyan presented credentials to UN Secretary-General

On June 10, RA Permanent Representative to the UN Zohrab Mnatsakanyan presented his credentials to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon.

During the talks following the ceremony, Ambassador Mnatsakanyan transmitted the greetings and good wishes of RA President Serzh Sargsyan.

Ambassador Mnatsakanyan presented the priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy, as well as the activities of Armenia’s Permanent Representation within the UN.

Ambassador Mnatsakanyan and Ban Ki-Moon reflected on the efforts for the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. In that context, the sides highlighted the need for a peaceful settlement and the fact that the format for negotiations mediated by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs is irreplaceable.

In the end, Ambassador Mnatsakanyan reaffirmed Armenia’s determination to continue the constructive cooperation within the UN and to contribute to world peace and international development, as well as to the solution to major issues facing the international community, reports the RA MFA press service to “Hayern Aysor”.
