The “60 Shades of Red” exhibition showcasing the works of renowned Saint Petersburg-based painter Ashot Khachatryan was opened at the National Gallery of Armenia on June 5.
Ashot Khachatryan is a member of the Union of Artists of Saint Petersburg, the co-founder and editor-in-chief of “Painter of Saint Petersburg” newsletter, an active public figure, as well as the organizer and participant of several exhibitions in Russia and other countries.
The early paintings of Ashot Khachatryan stand out with the lightness and freedom that are portrayed in them. The articles devoted to his art are entitled “World of Red Shades” and “Red and Green”.
Ideas are more fully embodied in his latest works. The details don’t conceal the most important thing, that is, the stir of emotions within the person portrayed in the painting.
Even his abstract paintings make a person acknowledge and find out the truth, as posted on the official website of the RA Ministry of Culture.
