Event dedicated to Armenia’s Republic Day at Home of Nations in Moscow

On May 28, an event dedicated to the 96th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia was held at the Home of Nations in Moscow, reports the RA Embassy in Moscow to “Hayern Aysor”. The event was organized by the “Ararat” Cultural Union of the Armenian community in Moscow and was attended by Russia’s renowned public and cultural figures, political figures, historians and literary critics, famous Russian poets and artists, as well as renowned representatives of the local Armenian community.
The event was hosted by President of “Ararat” Cultural Union E. Dolbakyan who briefly presented the establishment of the First Republic of Armenia and its short existence. Among other speakers were member of the ЛДПР Party G. Avdeyev, prominent figure of the Armenian community, Lieutenant-General N. Ter-Grigoryants, correspondent for Собеседник Армении A. Yerkanyan, Head of the Poetry Department adjunct to the Literature Commission of the Union of Armenians of Russia Nina Gabrielyan, as well as poets and historians.
The event included a concert featuring performances under the direction of renowned musician of the Armenian community, Honored Cultural Figure of the Russian Federation, academician of the “International Academy for Spiritual Unity of Nations of the World”, kamancha player A. Movsesyan.
The event ended with a speech by Dolbakyan and was held with the participation of the Embassy’s second secretary V. Melkumova.
