11 ethnic minorities of Armenia participated in “Armenia is Our Home” festival

The Armenian Philharmonic held the festival of cultures of ethnic minorities in the Republic of Armenia with an exhibition of decorative and applied arts and a concert. The festival entitled “Armenia is Our Home” was held on the occasion of the Day of Cultural Diversity and through funding provided by the Ministry of Culture. The concert featured performances by 15 groups representing 11 ethnic minorities in the Republic of Armenia, including 2 groups representing the Greek community and 3 groups representing the Assyrian community. Some groups (Jewish, Georgian, Polish, Ukrainian) also performed Armenian songs. For the first time, the Greek Khariton Vocal-Instrumental Ensemble performed at the festival with the combination of Armenian and Greek folk instruments (canon, buzuk).
