Catholicos of All Armenians to visit the Vatican
On May 7, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians will pay a fraternal visit to the Vatican where he will meet with Pope Francis of the Roman Catholic Church on 8 May.
During the visit, the Catholicos of All Armenians will be accompanied by Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Argentina, Archbishop Gisak Mouradian ; Primate of the U.S. Eastern Diocese, Archbishop Khazhak Parsamian ; Head of Inter-Church Relations Department of the Mother See, Primate of the Artik Diocese, Bishop Hovakim Manukyan ; crosier, Friar Anania Tsaturyan and Head of the Information System of the Mother See, Priest Vahram Melikyan. In Rome the delegates will be joined by spiritual pastor of the Armenians of Italy, Friar Tovma Khachatryan.
On May 9, His Holiness Karekin II will leave Rome for the United States of America where he will have meetings with benefactors of the Mother See and will discuss the various programs carried out by the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, reports the news service of the Mother See to “Hayern Aysor”.
