A concert called “Concert Under a Candlelight: On the Paths of “Armania” Armenian Song, Dance and Poetry” was held at Clop Shakespeare Theater in London.

The event was organized by the “Armenian Institution” Cultural Organization of London and Clop Theater with the support of the Armenian Embassy and included performances of Armenian folk, spiritual and classical songs and music of Narekatsi, Sayat Nova, Yekmalyan and Komitas, as well as parts of contemporary music composed by Armenian composers Tigran Mansuryan and Vache Sharafyan.

The concert also included performances by violinist Levon Chiligiryan, cellist Alexander Chavushyan, soprano Teresa Gevorgyan, harp player Sevan Horox-Hopaian and actor Colin Hurly, who recited the English versions of the poems by Zabel Boyadjian, Sayat Nova, Hovhannes Tumanyan, Vahan Tekeyan and Razmik Davoyan. Armenia’s “Dudukner” Group also performed at the event.
