The youth wings of several Armenian organizations of Montevideo have joined several other organizations holding protests for Kessab in different Armenian communities of the Diaspora. The youth wings of the organizations in Montevideo held a protest in the center of the city with the purpose of raising the locals’ awareness about the events that have taken place in Kessab, reports YERAKOUYN’s partner in Uruguay Garo Hekimian.

With signs reading “Save Kessab” and the national flags of Armenia and Syria, the youth distributed flyers stating the situation in Kessab and managed to call everyone’s attention to the events and sparked interest among passers-by in just two hours.
