Davutoglu called Kerry after passing of Armenian Genocide Resolution

The U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee’s passing of the Armenian Genocide Resolution is concerning Turkey again. As reported by “ArmenPress”, according to the Turkish Hurriyet Daily News, after the passing of the Resolution, Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Davutoglu immediately called U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
During the telephone conversation, Davutoglu told Kerry that Turkey “doesn’t have bad expectations from this Resolution”. According to him, the Turkish government is taking adequate measures against the initiatives that “might worry Turkey”. Davutoglu voiced hope that there wouldn’t be such development of events. The Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs also said the events in Syria and Egypt were also discussed during the telephone conversation with Kerry.
On Apr. 10, the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee passed the Armenian Genocide Resolution with 12 “for” and 5 “against”.
