24 Armenians of Kessab have arrived in Turkey, in need of financial assistance-Marmara
Dear compatriots, the 24 elderly Armenians of Kessab who have taken shelter in the Turkish village of Vagefl need your financial support. No matter how much the local community takes care of their needs and expenses and provides large sums, some of them have individual needs that require a large amount of money. For instance, Marmara reports that two sisters who had been brought to the village earlier were able to contact their relatives in Beirut, and the official messages were sent at the sisters’ request. It looks as though there will be results soon. But it’s hard to assume how much it will cost to help these two sisters travel to Beirut. The locals have addressed the government to take care of the needs, it’s still unclear as to whether the government will provide funding or not and when it will do so. The other Armenians of Kessab are in need of help as well. They will also be transported to their relatives.
