Union of Armenians of Italy takes first important step for popularization and recognition of the Armenian Genocide in 2014
On Feb. 16, 500 students of the branch of the University of Bologna in the Italian city of Cesena attended a two-hour lecture devoted to the Armenian Genocide.
The event was organized by the decision of the board of education of higher educational institutions of Cesena and through cooperation with the Union of Armenians of Italy.
The lecture was devoted to issues related to international recognition of the Armenian Genocide and was followed by a question-and-answer session with President of the Union of Armenians of Italy, Mr. Baykar Svazlian.
The event serves as the first important step taken by the Union of Armenians of Italy for popularization and recognition of the Armenian Genocide in 2014.
