Gabriel Sargsyan also wins in second round of Bronstein Commemorative Chess Tournament
Members of Armenia’s men’s chess team Gabriel Sargsyan and Vladimir Hakobyan continue to achieve great heights at the Bronstein Commemorative Chess Tournament. In the second round, Gabriel Sargsyan put his strengths to the test with Vadim Malakhatkoy and won, while Vladimir Hakobyan tied the match with Daniil Linchevski.
Out of Armenia’s other players, Samvel Ter-Sahakyan was the only player who won his opponent. Hovik Hayrapetyan, Artashes MInasyan, Robert Aghasryan and Karen Hovhannisyan tied their matches. Sargsyan and 11 other chess players each have 2 points in their actives.
From February 11 to 19, Armenian chess players are participating in the Bronstein Commemorative Chess Tournament taking place in Minsk, Belarus. There are 139 chess players participating in the tournament.
