Armenian Saturday school of Prague held New Year’s event

On Jan. 11, the Armenian Saturday school of Prague held a New Year’s event that began with opening remarks by the school’s principal Armen Koloyan. Koloyan wished everyone a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas and invited all the children to participate in the event. The students of teachers Tsovinar Beibutyan, Gohar Melikyan and Angela Dadayan not only sang, danced and recited poems, but also performed short plays.

Teacher Larisa Grigoryan’s students in the higher grades presented a part from Paruyr Sevak’s poem “Anlreli Zangakatun”.

In the end, spiritual pastor of the Czech Republic of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archimandrite Barsegh Pilavchyan and Armenia’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic and Slovakia Tigran Seyranyan praised the efforts that had been made, and member of the Armenian Apostolic Church’s parish council Armen Ananikyan gave New Year’s gifts to the students and teachers of the school.
