On July 3, Minister of Diaspora Mkhitar Hayrapetyan received famous Canadian-Armenian actress Arsinée Khanjian.

The Minister cordially greeted the actress and presented the upcoming programs of the Ministry of Diaspora. In her turn, the actress touched upon the visit of Armenia’s delegation to Toronto and stated that it was helpful in the sense that it helped break certain stereotypes about the young age of Armenia’s political figures.

The actress also stated that now it is very important for young Diaspora Armenians to become engaged in the processes unfolding in Armenia. “The Diaspora also consists of young people, and we have to make sure they feel that they are involved in the events taking place in the homeland,” Arsinée Khanjian noted.

The Minister agreed with the actress and emphasized that the Ministry is already taking action in that direction.
