Armenian-American benefactors donate bikes to children of 28 family victims of Four-Day Artsakh War

During an event held at the Culture and Youth Palace in Stepanakert, Mr. and Mrs. Hrach and Nevrig Gevrigian granted bikes to the children of 28 families that were victims of the Four-Day Artsakh War in April 2016.

In an interview with Artsakhpress, Hrach Gevrigian said 56 bikes were imported from the U.S. for that purpose.

“Eighteen of those bikes are designed for children under 10, and the rest are for teens and youth. This is my family’s first initiative. However, I must say that we had supporters, and Hayastan All-Armenian Fund covered the travel expenses,” Gevrigian stated.

Expressing gratitude to the benefactors for their donation, Manik Stepanyan, sister of Meruzhan Stepanyan (hero of the Four-Day Artsakh War from Gyumri) told Artsakhpress that Meruzhan Junior was born after his brother’s death, adding that today marks his second birthday and that the bike was a nice gift on his birthday.

Ellada Dadayan, the widow of a deceased serviceman and mother of 4, stated that such programs console families in mourning.

According to her, they are always in the focus of the public, benefactors and the government.
