Rome’s National Gallery of Modern Art hosts presentation of book “Armenia. Ossip Mandelstam. Dessins”

On February 13, the National Gallery of Modern Art of Rome, in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Italy, hosted the presentation of Italian artist Giuseppe Cacavale’s book “Armenia. Ossip Mandelstam. Dessins”.
As reported the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia to Hayern Aysor, among the speakers were author Giusepe Caccavale, famous Italian writer Erri De Luca and art critic Marcella Cosu.
Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Italy Victoria Baghdasaryan delivered her welcoming remarks, after which Giuseppe Caccavale and Erri De Luca talked about how Ossip Mandelstam described Armenia as a crossroads of European and Eastern civilizations.
The original texts and the Armenian and Italian versions of Mandelstam’s poems devoted to Armenia were read during the event.
