President expresses gratitude to Kuwaiti authorities for their generosity towards Armenian community

President Serzh Sargsyan today received Minister of Social Affairs and Labor of the State of Kuwait, State Minister of Economic Affairs Hind Sabeeh Al-Sabeeh.

In the beginning, congratulating Hind Sabeeh Al-Sabeeh on being reappointed Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and State Minister of Economic Affairs, the President of the Republic voiced hope that the Minister would continue to foster the strengthening of bilateral interstate relations through his active efforts during his term of office.

Noting that Armenia attaches importance to the development of friendly relations with Kuwait in all sectors presenting mutual interest, Serzh Sargsyan talked, with satisfaction, about the strong partnership established and the progress recorded in interstate relations following the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The President expressed gratitude to the authorities and people of Kuwait for the generosity towards the Armenian community and for the support provided by the State of Kuwait to Syrian-Armenians having taken shelter in Armenia.

The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor of Kuwait, the State Minister of Economic Affairs highlighted the fact that Kuwait has utmost respect for the Armenian community and the friendly Armenian people and she is personally cordial towards Armenia where she often comes as a tourist and recommends her compatriots to do the same. With satisfaction, the Minister stated the effective cooperation established with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia and invited her Armenian counterpart to Kuwait to deepen the cooperation through new programs and exchange of experience. According to Minister Hind Sabeeh Al-Sabeeh, a memorandum will be concluded between the two ministries within the scope of that visit.

President Serzh Sargsyan expressed gratitude for the creation of proper conditions for elders with the support of the State of Kuwait in Armenia, that is to say, on the occasion of construction of the new building of the nursing home, emphasizing the fact that helping people in need of care is a divine act.
