The Armenian Miniature Art Center Foundation and Louys Armenian Cultural Center territorial NGO of Omsk have donated the book of miniature paintings entitled “My Alphabet” to the students of St. Mesrop Mashtots Armenian Sunday School in the city of Omsk.

This marked the launch of the “Limit of the Armenian Alphabet” cultural program, which envisages disseminating the “My Alphabet” collection of exceptional images of Armenian medieval miniature art (the book features the miniature paintings created by Toros Roslin and Toros Taronatsi in the 13^th century) to all Armenian children of the world who are learning the letters of the Armenian alphabet. The program will be held for the next ten years.

The main material for the collection has been provided by our major partner, the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Matenadaran).

Armenian children in over 70 countries start learning how to write the letters of the Armenian alphabet for a day in their lives. The letters of the Armenian alphabet are taught to those who have the opportunity to attend Armenian schools or those whose parents prefer to have their children receive an education in Armenian schools.

The mission of our joint activities is to disseminate the Armenian alphabet to Armenians in the Armenian communities of the Russian Federation and particularly to all the Armenian schools operating in the federal district of Siberia.

The “My Alphabet” collection serves as the spiritual connection of Armenian children to the homeland and the bridge stretching from soul to soul, the columns of which are the exceptional letters of the Armenian alphabet. This bridge has been uniquely ��?illuminated’ by Armenian artists in the shapes of the Armenian letters. The book is being disseminated through the new and comprehensive “Limit of the Armenian Alphabet” program that is open to anyone who attaches importance to Armenian school and the imperative of an Armenian education for Armenian children and to those who want the Armenian language to be pure and endless since the Armenian language is the language of the freedom of mankind.
