Teleconference held with Armenian media representatives of the Americas
On February 9, the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia held a teleconference with representatives of Armenian media outlets of the Americas. Among the participants from Armenia were RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, Deputy Minister Serzh Srapionyan, Head of the Department of Information and Telecommunication Vaghinak Vardanyan, Head of the Department of Media and Public Relations Evelina Baghdasaryan and other employees of the Ministry. Among the participants from the Americas were Editor of Hairenik Weekly Rouben Jambazian (USA), Editor-in-Chief of Baikar Weekly Hagop Vardivarian (USA), Editor-in-Chief of Nor Or Weekly Hrach Sepejian (USA), Editor-in-Chief of Armenian Panorama Osheen Keshishian (USA), Chairman of SDHP Western USA and Editor of Massis Weekly Krikor Khodanian (USA), Editor-in-Chief of Horizon Weekly Vahakn Karakashian (Canada), Editor-in-Chief of Abaka Weekly Avedis Baggalian (Canada), Editor-in-Chief of Torontohye magazine Karin Saghdjian (Canada) and Editor-in-Chief of Armenia Weekly Kevork Kazanjian (Argentina).
The participants discussed the headings of the panel sessions of the 9th Pan-Armenian Forum of Journalists and made recommendations regarding the format for organizing the forum and other issues.
The participants of the teleconference also touched upon the issue of engaging Armenian journalists of foreign media outlets in the forum.
Greeting the participants of the teleconference from the Americas, Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan attached importance to the activities being carried out in such a format and expressed gratitude for the active participation and the interesting discussion. She presented the results of the previous Pan-Armenian Forum of Journalists and voiced hope that the forum to be held during the days marking the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia and the heroic Battles of May and the visits to borderline villages will make Armenian journalists feel more inspired and create with more vigor.
