Tyarndarach church holiday to be celebrated at temple in Garni
On February 13 at 17:00, Tyarndarach, one of the old holidays of the Armenian Apostolic Church, will be solemnly celebrated with an event to be held at Garni Historical and Cultural Museum-Reservation.
As reported the “Service for the Protection of Historical Environment and and Cultural Museum-Reservations” SNCO to Hayern Aysor, the event will begin with a liturgy at Holy Cross Church in Garni village, after which a lamp will be taken to Garni Historical and Cultural Museum-Reservation to the sounds of Armenian songs. A bonfire will be lit, and the main event will begin.
The event, which is organized by the SNCO and will be held with the support of Advisor to the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Armenia Arsen Grigoryan (Mro), will feature performances by “Veradardz” (Return) Armenian Ethnographic Song-Dance Ensemble. The participants will also witness an interesting presentation of traditions related to Tyarndarach.
