Reception dedicated to 26th anniversary of formation of Armenia’s Armed Forces hosted in Vienna

On January 30, the Armenia Center in Vienna hosted a reception dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia. The reception was organized by the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Armenia to the OSCE.
Among the participants were the heads of diplomatic and military missions accredited to the OSCE, military advisors, high-ranking servicemen of the Armed Forces and the Austrian army command, as well as spiritual leaders of the Austrian-Armenian community and leaders of community organizations.
In his welcoming remarks, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the OSCE, Ambassador Arman Kirakossian touched upon the exceptional mission of the Armenian Army in the development and strengthening of Armenian statehood and highlighted the fact that Armenian soldiers and officers have been the main guarantor of regional stability and the maintenance of peace for almost three consecutive decades.
The Ambassador added that it would be impossible to ensure sustainable and everlasting peace and advancement without the rise of the level of combat readiness of the Armenian Army and the consistent efforts of the government of the Republic of Armenia aimed at implementing the ongoing reforms for further development of the Armenian Army.
