Armenian army officer, Major Sargis Stepanyan leaves for Calcutta for treatment

On January 16, with the patriarchal blessing and by the order of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, officer of the Armenian Army, Major Sargis Stepanyan and his family arrived in Calcutta for Stepanyan’s treatment.
Hayern Aysor, citing the Facebook page of the Armenian Humanitarian College of Calcutta, reports that Stepanyan will be residing in the Armenian Humanitarian College of Calcutta (operating under the auspices of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin) until the end of treatment (prosthesis) and will be fully taken care of. His two sons will be studying at the Humanitarian College.
The fund of the St. Nazareth Armenian Church of Calcutta will cover all the expenses for the treatment.
