Touching melodies of Armenian duduk touched foreigners

Culture and various cultural initiatives are one of the ways of establishing friendship, peace and solidarity among nations.
On December 15, at the initiative of the Ministry of Justice and the Ecumenical Interreligious Society of Córdoba, the Palace of the Ministry of Justice hosted a similar cultural event with the call for peace, featuring performances by representatives of different nations, singers and musicians residing in Argentina.
Armenia was represented by well-known musician in Argentina and Honorary Member of AGBU Argentina Chapter Gagik Gasparyan, who performed Komitas’ “Krunk” and Gregory of Narek’s “Havun-Havun”.
In an interview with Hayern Aysor, Gagik Gasparyan said he had chosen the song “Havun-Havun” since he wanted to show foreigners the origins and antiquity of Armenian spiritual music and eternity and that he performed the song “Krunk” as a symbol of longing for the Homeland and patriotism.
Among the attendees of the concert were Pastor of the St. George Armenian Church of Córdoba, His Beatitude, Fr. Priest Harutioun Sepanian; Minister for Discrimination Affairs of Córdoba Maria Pedicio (Pedicio is of Armenian descent); representatives of the municipal authorities; judges; prosecutors and other guests.
At the end of the concert, the event organizers told Gagik Gasparyan that it was a great honor for them to listen to the extremely touching melodies of the Armenian duduk, while the foreigners in the audience approached Gasparyan and expressed their admiration of Armenian culture, stressing the fact that the Armenian duduk had made them feel soulfully relaxed and fully transmitted the call of mankind for peace.
