Conference devoted to history of Polish-Armenian community held in Warsaw

On November 15, the Central Agricultural Library after Mikhail Osipovich in Warsaw hosted a conference devoted to the 650-year presence of Armenians in Rzeczpospolita. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration of Poland, the Central Agricultural Library of Poland and the Armenian Foundation of Poland and held under the honorary patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Poland. The conference gathered representatives of the Polish government, parliament, scientific and academic circles, clergymen, as well as members of the Armenian community and Polish society.
In his welcoming remarks, RA Ambassador to Poland Edgar Ghazaryan expressed gratitude to the organizers and highlighted the importance of the role of Armenians in Poland.
The welcoming remarks of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Jan Didicak were read during the conference. In his remarks, the Deputy Minister recalled the major and significant involvement of the Armenians in Polish diplomacy.
Director of the Central Agricultural Library of Poland Zbignev Filipkovsky and President of the Armenian Foundation of Poland Martha Aktsentovich-Bohosevich also delivered their welcoming remarks during the opening ceremony of the conference.
Doctor of the Catholic Church of Poland, Archbishop Anthony Didic; Professor of Cardinal Vishinsky University of Warsaw, clergymen of the Armenian Catholic Church Juzef Naumovich and Professors Vladimizh Osadci and Mieshcislav Riba of the Catholic University of Lublin gave speeches devoted to the history of the Armenian community of Poland.
Informative panels devoted to the Armenian community of Poland and notable Polish-Armenian figures were shown in the vestibule of the Central Agricultural Library of Poland.
