Germany’s Baden-Württemberg hosting Armenian Culture Days

November 10th marked the launch of Armenian Culture Days in the German cities of Karlsruhe, Etlingen and Baden-Baden. The events are organized by the newly established German-Armenian Musical Society and will be held under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Federal Republic of Germany and with the support of the Municipality of Karlsruhe, the German-Armenian Medical Society and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Baden-Württemberg Günter Pilarsky.

As reported the press service of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Hayern Aysor, Armenia’s Ambassador to Germany Ashot Smbatyan and First Mayor of Karlsruhe Volfram Jeger gave their welcoming remarks at the November 10 concert held in the historic Karlsberg Castle.

The concert featured performances of the works of Edward Grieg, Robert Schuman, Aram Khachaturian and Michel Legrand by renowned violinist and President of the German-Armenian Musical Society Ani Aghabekyan, along with Rector of the Conservatory of Karlsruhe Wolfgang Mayer, pianist Marius Hadula and saxophonist Peter Lehel.

The events will continue on November 19 and December 9.
