Grandmasters (GMs) Gabriel Sargissian, Tigran Petrosian, Zaven Andriasian, Karen Grigoryan, and several other chess players representing Armenia will compete in the European Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships.

The event will be held from Friday to Sunday in the Polish capital city Warsaw, Armchess reports.

To note, as part of the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions Armenian national team, Gabriel Sargissian and Tigran Petrosian had participated in the European Team Chess Championship that was held likewise in Warsaw. Armenia had finished the tournament in fourth place.
