Armenian violinist Nikolay Madoyan sets Guinness World Record

The Committee of the Guinness Book of Records has officially confirmed the music record set months ago in Yerevan, that is, the record set by Armenian violinist Nikolay Madoyan.

This is what Madoyan wrote on his Facebook page, reported armeniasputnik.am.

“Dear Armenians, on 25 July, the Committee of the Guinness Book of Records confirmed the music record set months ago in Yerevan. I have been on the big stages for 30 years. It is a period that coincided with the heroic battle for Artsakh. I dedicate this small victory to all the freedom fighters shaping our great Victory,” wrote Madoyan.

He thanked all of his listeners, regardless of nationality. “Thank you for giving me strength and conveying infinite imagination on the road of my art,” he emphasized.

Nikolay Madoyan set a record in the Guinness Book of Records after performing 59 works with the violin for 35 consecutive hours with an interval of 5 minutes every hour.

During a press conference hosted at Sputnik Արմենիա on 3 March, Madoyan admitted that it seemed as though he took that incredible step because he was interested as a professional. He developed his tested method that helped him manage his muscular system while playing for a long time.

Nikolay Madoyan was born in 1973 in Yerevan and has performed with world famous conductors and the best philharmonic orchestras.

In 1988, he won the Tchaikovsky All-Union Competition for Young Performers, and in 1991 – the Kulenkampff International Violin Competition.
