This is the road leading to the borderline Aygehovit village. There is a celebration in the village located near the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Villagers of all ages have gathered near the capitally renovated clinic to greet the village’s best friends, that is, the group of Swiss benefactors.
Before entering the capitally renovated clinic, the guests, under the direction of Switzerland’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, solemnly raise the national flags of Armenia and Switzerland, hear the national anthems and move forward.
The capital renovation of the once dilapidated clinic was carried out through a donation from the Help Armenia Swiss benevolent foundation. This is exactly why the clinic was named after members of the Foundation’s board of trustees, Martin and Jessica Blumer.
The capitally renovated clinic will perform vaccinations, conduct early oversight of pregnant women and continue treating dispensary patients and more. The medical services will be available for not only the residents of Aygehovit village, but also the residents of the nearby Vazashen village.
In reality, capital renovation of the clinic is not the only initiative of the Swiss benefactors. Last year, the Swiss benefactors repaired and exploited a kindergarten and upgraded the water pipeline supplying water to the village.
Armenian benefactor, member of the Board of Trustees of the Help Armenia Swiss benevolent foundation Mike Baronian plays his pivotal role in the implementation of all charity events.
The Blumers, who stand out with their unique modesty, were satisfied with the work that had been done. Martin Blumer expressed his satisfaction with a word.
The Swiss couple is willing to undertake new charity programs, if necessary.
The symbolic fir tree planted through combined efforts will now serve as evidence of the cordial friendship established between the residents of Aygehovit village and the Swiss benefactors.
