Armenian brandy tasting in London

On December 4, the RA Embassy in the United Kingdom organized the Armenian Ararat brandy tasting ceremony at the Churchill Hall of the House of Commons of the United Kingdom. The event was sponsored by Vice-Chairman of the British-Armenian Inter-Parliamentary Group John Whttingdale. Among the attendees were several members of the House of Lords and the House of Commons, diplomats, as well as leaders and representatives of British-Armenian community structures and youth organizations.
The event was organized with support from the British representations of Tekeyan Cultural Association, Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society and Nor Serount Cultural Association and Vinorium, which is Ararat Brandy’s official representative to the United Kingdom.
The event began with opening remarks by RA Ambassador to the United Kingdom Armen Sargsyan.
Greeting the guests, Ambassador Sargsyan gave a historical background of Armenian brandy and presented how Armenian businessmen can achieve success in Armenia through the use of Western technologies. Afterwards, the guests were greeted by Vice-Chairman of the British-Armenian Inter-Parliamentary Group, Chairman of the Committee on Culture, Media and Sports of the House of Commons John Whittingdale, who attached importance to the holding of such events.
