Argentine-Armenians hosted at RA Ministry of Diaspora

On September 24, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Secretary of the Board of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) Buenos Aires Chapter Antonio Sarafian and Honorary Member of AGBU Argentina, dudukist Gagik Gasparyan.
Greeting the guests, Minister Hranush Hakobyan highly appreciated their pro-national efforts. “You joined the “What are YOU doing for Artsakh?” pan-Armenian movement launched by the Ministry of Diaspora since the very first day it was launched. The movement was also introduced in Argentina and turned into a concert series. I am glad that the funds raised during the concert series helped purchase 300 musical instruments, some of which have already been transferred to the music schools of Kashatagh and Stepanakert. The rest of the instruments will be transferred to the other schools in the borderline villages of Artsakh and Armenia in need of those instruments. The concert that the RA Ministry of Diaspora and AGBU Argentina held on 22 September was a unique way of wrapping up the ten previous concerts held in the cities of Argentina, New York and other well-known cities,” the Minister stated. The Minister also mentioned that the Ministry’s new movement/program for the social development of bordering settlements of Armenia is a follow-up to the “What are YOU doing for Artsakh?” pan-Armenian movement.
Expressing gratitude to the Ministry of Diaspora for the active support, the guests stated that they had received requests for 135 musical instruments from the music schools of Artsakh. “On September 25, the instruments will be transferred to Artsakh. As already mentioned, the rest of the instruments will be transferred to the bordering villages of Armenia later,” Argentine-Armenian dudukist Gagik Gasparyan mentioned.
