Armenia and Penza region discuss opportunities for development of relations in Moscow

On December 3, Deputy Prime Minister of Penza region, head of the representation of the Penza regional government adjunct to the Government of the Russian Federation Yelena Dubinchuk had a meeting with President of the “Russian-Armenian Cooperation” Organization Yuri Navoyan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed perspectives for the development of trade, economic and humanitarian relations between Armenia’s provinces and the Penza region on the sidelines of the Armenian-Russian interregional partnership.
The current meeting comes after the third Armenian-Russian Interregional Forum held in Yerevan on the sidelines of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s state visit to Armenia on December 2. The goal of the forum is to help develop economic cooperation between the regions of Armenia and Russia and identify new opportunities for cooperation for Armenia’s future accession to the Customs Union.
Yuri Navoyan presented Armenia’s leading economic branches, as well as the achievements made in the spheres of agriculture, tourism and advanced technologies. The president of the “Russian-Armenian Cooperation” also mentioned that Armenia serves as a special platform in which international business is widely represented. Thus, cooperation with Armenia will provide the opportunity to expand the trade and economic relations between Penza region and foreign countries. According to the president of the “Russian-Armenian Cooperation”, one of the additional factors for cooperation with Armenia is the potential for the Diaspora Armenians’ investments.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Penza region Yelena Dubinchuk talked about the primary issues of the government’s concern, including the policy for more investments. The Deputy Prime Minister presented the economic, innovative and investment potential of the Penza region and drew the attendees’ attention to the taxing privileges for investors. Yelena Dubinchuk also mentioned the more tempting spheres for investments, including agriculture, reprocessing of products, forest and medicine industries, the construction industry and more.
The sides also provided information about the high technologies techno-park created in Penza region recently and the industry and agro-industry parks. The interlocutors reached an agreement to present the opportunities for cooperation between Armenia’s provinces and Penza region to the relevant government agencies and contribute to further development of relations.
In the end, Yuri Navoyan presented the head of Penza region’s representation with the “Russian-Armenian Cooperation Library” series of books. In her turn, Yelena Dubinchuk transferred materials and publications presenting Penza region to the “Russian-Armenian Cooperation” Organization.
