Symbolic statues unveiled during solemn ceremony at Nairi Music Park

On September 16, bronze iconic sculptures symbolizing Armenian song, music and national instruments were unveiled during a solemn ceremony held at Nairi Music Park as part of the Nairi Pan-Armenian Music Festival launched at the initiative of the RA Ministries of Diaspora and Culture near Nairi Spa Resorts in Hankavan. The general sponsor of the festival is Russia-based businessman Grigor Ghukasyan.
Among the participants of the ceremony were RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, RA Minister of Culture Armen Amiryan, President of the Union of Composers of Armenia Armen Satyan, Director of Nairi Pan-Armenian Music Festival Samvel Haroyan, the members of the artistic council of the festival and guests.
Greeting the organizers of the festival, the participants and guests, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan particularly noted the following: “I think today is truly a symbolic day. Our dream of having a museum of sculptures symbolizing Armenian song, music and the musical heritage of the Armenian nation has come true. In the cultural ��?crater’ of our days, we need to be more alert, defend and popularize our belongings at the national and international levels and always remind people about our musical and cultural heritage, which is one of the major guarantees of preservation of the Armenian identity. I would like to thank Mr. Haroyan for conceiving this idea, sculptor Yuri Petrosyan, architects Aslan Mkhitaryan and Haik Mkrtchyan and the owner of this home, Grigor Ghukasyan for his support and hospitality.”
RA Minister of Culture Armen Amiryan congratulated everyone on the opening of the park and added the following: “What is symbolic is the fact that we have an exceptional approach to the major task of preserving Armenian culture and transmitting it to the future generations.”
President of the Union of Composers of Armenia Aram Satyan noted that the opening of the park is an exclusive phenomenon not only for Armenia, but also for many countries.
Member of the artistic council of the festival, musicologist Alina Pahlevanyan added the following: “Art has the power of working miracles. It is the most powerful weapon. This is a show of patriotism not through words, but through actions. This festival must become a pan-Armenian festival and consolidate all Armenians around the world. Today we are about to witness a historic event.”
The solemn ceremony ended with a festive concert.
On September 20, the Aram Khachaturian Grand Concert Hall will host the grand award ceremony for the Nairi Pan-Armenian Music Festival.
