Weightlifter Simon Martirosyan becomes champion at 2017 Summer Universiade

Weightlifter Simon Martirosyan (105 kg category) became the champion at the 29th Summer Universiade (2017 Summer Universiade) taking place in Taipei.
As reported the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia to Hayern Aysor, the Armenian weightlifter scored his victory after lifting 401 kg during the biathlon.
Let us remind that gymnast Artur Tovmasyan also became a champion at the Universiade, while Andranik Karapetyan (80 kg category) scored the silver medal and Taekwondo athlete Sergey Varazdatyan scored the bronze medal.
Armenian athletes will be competing in the following seven sports at the 2017 Summer Universiade: Weightlifting, Artistic Gymnastics, Judo, Diving, Fencing, Taekwondo and Wushu.
