Artur Aleksanyan becomes multiple world champion

On August 21, top wrestler of the Armenian national wrestling team, two-time world champion and multiple European champion Artur Aleksanyan and Russian world cup winner Musa Yevloev put their strengths to the test to score the gold medal in the 98 kg category at the Greco-Roman World Cup taking place in Paris.
In the first round of the finals, the wrestlers each scored one point. After the break, Artur Aleksanyan scored the first point. At the last minute, the Armenian wrestler pushed his opponent out of the ring and won 3:1.
Let us remind that Artur Aleksanyan won Uzbekistan’s wrestler Rustam Asakalov 8:0 at the 58th second during the semi-final. In the quarter final, the Olympic champion won Georgian wrestler Revazi Nadareishvili 6:2, celebrated an impressive victory over U.S. wrestler Tracy Hancock 10:1 in the 1/8 final and won Iranian wrestler Salehizade 3:1 in the 1/16 final.
