Turkish-Armenian Deputy of Turkey’s pro-Kurdish oppositional Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Garo Paylan has strictly responded to another anti-Armenian statement by Mayor of Ankara Melih Gökçek .
In his Twitter microblog, the Mayor of Ankara has insulted German-Turkish Member of Parliament, co-chair of The Green Party Cem Özdemir, who is known as a supporter of Armenian Genocide recognition and stands out with his strict criticism of the Turkish government. Gökçek shared Özdemir’s photo and called him “a servant of an Armenian” and “a traitor”.
In response to Melih Gökçek’s statement, Paylan particularly wrote the following: “Özdemir will go down in history as Turkey’s pride, while you will go down in history as a racist, a Fascist and infamous person,” writes Ermenihaber.am.
